Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Isaiah 6

In this section we consider how people of faith, and the church overall, can respond to the many predicaments and dilemmas that are described at this site.

Broadly speaking, there are two strategies that can be followed: either top-down or bottom-up. The top-down strategy involves setting policy within large organizations such as the government (local and national), corporations and the church. The bottom-up approach focuses on individual and community actions, such as growing food locally or helping neighbors in need. In practice, nearly everyone will work in both areas, but most of us prefer one or the other.
